I had a great time!
I am on MySpace, and there I got a nice Happy Birthday message (with photo) from "Safire (Girl)"

On Twitter I got one from Rachel True (no relation I can find yet, she does lots of things one job she has is an actress, I first saw her on the Showtime TV movie "The Apartment Complex"

I rented this once in the early 2000's, I forget what else she's been in, but she also does a lot of other stuff which I forget as well lol
But, on Twitter, she seems really cool
Besides a glitch that happened later, I had an AWESOME birthday!

I decided since it was my 40th BD I would try something a little different. Take a risk, work on growth. I decided to spend the day out by myself! No friends, no family, just me meeting and being with strangers out in public! Who goes out in public where they can be seen on a big day like a main birthday like this alone?
(well, I've seen more single people out in public sitting alone recently, but you know what I mean)
I had a delicious lunch at Granite City restaurant. I had a great meal and got a picture with my waitress/server Brittney
Then I went to Barnes & Noble and there was the 5 Star Jazz Band playing inside it was to support the troops, so I hung out there for awhile talked to a couple people, brought a couple books home.
Next up was the movie "X men Origins: Wolverine".
Then I went to Hooters where the nice gorgeous waitress bought me chocolate cake!
And other stuff
oh, like on Sunday for one thing I got a full body massage!
It was so much fun!


THE GLITCH THAT HAPPENED LATER:
I got a package from my parents. It's a book on the constellations. At least it's close to my interests and I may be able to use it as a reference book in my library, but that's such an OLD and done interest! I swear, my dad still thinks I'm incapable of change.
They still think they can manipulate me and get me with emotional blackmail too. Do you know who's picture they put in with the card? My brother's 2 young girls! What does that have to do with them or me? Nothing. Inside the birthday card to me fro them they put in a pic of my 2 beautiful nieces to try to blackmail me emotionally to come back to the family.
My dad doesn't even care about them anymore! A little but not a lot. The last time he came to visit me he was just talking about himself the whole time. When I told him about where I work now he didn't say congratulations how is it going etc etc. he went straight to "I have connections there!" When I said I was doing just fine without his help he replied again how he could use his contacts there to help me.
Can you believe that? But that wasn't the worse thing. Suddenly his phone goes off. Ringing loud enough to hear through his inside coat pocket. If you were estranged from someone, would you leave your phone on? Would you leave it on a loud ring? Would you answer it? Would you not tell the other party "I'm sorry, I'm busy right now, let me call you back?" Would you instead have a full conversation with them?
That is what my dad did, he let the phone ring, answered it, did not say a word that he was otherwise engaged, and had a complete conversation with that person right there, didn't even go outside or around the corner or something. Turns out it was my brother. My dad says he wants them to babysit the girls again that he and his wife had a thing to go to. He rolls his eyes as he says he doesn't see how he can babysit them much longer, and didn't want to go do it this time.
Yet they send their picture looking all cute in a birthday card to me. What other purpose does having their picture in my birthday card serve but as just another clumsy try at emotional blackmail?
Well, I am not going to let it work. I am not going to let it affect me for very long but at least he wins and has gotten an emotional response from me. Go dad ...

They keep trying to UPS things to me adn I keep not getting them. Example: I just got a box handed to me yesterday night and it's from easter! a chocolate bunny. nice ...
